Ashley was originally going to have super-short hair like Ana from V in ME3, but I guess the art department thought that didn't make her feminine or something

I've seen one hair mod for Ash so far (It's linked from Livejournal and my college has blocked LJ otherwise I'd link it), it's a short bob and there's also a second version where they got rid of the makeup as well.

Once I figure out texmod, I'm hoping to make a mod which will replace the catsuit with Alliance fatigues (like Kaidan's casual outfit) as her default casual outfit.

If there was a way to make the catsuit Kaidan's default casual outfit I'd do it too

Me3 Ashley should be shoved out an airlock, boob-job, Victoria Beckham face, fake tan, catsuit, less character development than Kaidan

So true. Ash was my favorite character up until ME3 and honestly, maybe I could get used to her new looks (get used to, not actually like) but it's not just redesign, she was simply killed as a character too. Interesting dialogues, brilliant humor, memorable scenes - all gone. The replacement of her writer really-really shows.
